I’m 35 hexagons (and 10%) into my birthday quilt! As part of celebrating a year in my life, I’m making a hexagon to describe each day! (You can read more about this project here.)
Here’s a little description of what each hexagon means (start in the middle, move to the flower hexagon and move clockwise):
Day 29: It’s Daylight Savings Time — and that extra hour of sleep was much needed!
Day 30: My Monday was made better by fresh flowers!
Day 31: Had a product planning meeting for an upcoming issue of American Patchwork & Quilting and have LOTS of great products to share soon!
Day 32: First frost of the year. I love when seasons collide and seeing leaves and frost on the grass was beautiful!
Day 33: Randomly got two emails for free pizza today! We’re huge fans of Pizza Hut, so we’re excited!
Day 34: I finally joined a wine club and we tried a Bordeaux first.
Day 35: I dislocated my shoulder today. Yes, that’s a hexagons of Marilyn Monroe. It was the only shoulder I could find on fabric and it makes me feel a little better about my injury when I see it!
I’ll update my hexagon progress every week or two! And I’ll be using the hashtag #lindsayhexies29 on Instagram to share pictures.
Thanks for joining me for “happy hour,”
