Summer Sewing 2018

Anyone else trade your sewing machine in for gardening during the summer? I’ve been choosing the outdoors and vacations over sitting inside at my sewing machine the last few months, but I’m kicking my creativity into gear with our Summer Sewing video series!

In August, my coworker Beth and I are doing weekly Facebook Live videos sponsored by EverSewn, Northcott, and Terial Magic. Each video covers the following topics:

  • How to make a stylish handmade item (we’re doing a table topper, bag, sunglass case, and pillow)
  • On-the-go sewing tips and storage ideas
  • Must-know tips about EverSewn’s, Northcott’s, and Terial Magic’s products
  • A fun nautical-theme sewalong
  • A fast sewing project you can make in minutes

We decorated our Crafts Lab for summer (probably my favorite part), and started filming. The videos air every Wednesday at 2:00pm Central Time between August 8 and August 29 on the American Patchwork & Quilting FB page.

But don’t worry if you miss an episode Live! We upload them to our website here, so you can still see all the great projects and tips we give!

We’ve been doing a lot of prep work and sewing to prepare for each video, and I’ve gone home to remake a lot of the projects for my own home! All the projects are simple, fast to finish, and so cute!

The videos are only 30 minutes each, so it’s not too big of a time commitment! It would be the perfect thing to watch while sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade.

I hope you can join me each week for a “Sew”cial summer! I’m having a blast with the projects, and I know you will, too!

Thanks for joining me for “happy hour,”

Lindsay
