I have less than two months left in my hexagon project! Week 45 brought an exciting update — I finally finished sewing all my hexagons into flower shapes. Now, I can start sewing them to my background blocks! I’m getting close to finishing this quilt! As part of celebrating a year in my life, I’m making a hexagon to describe each day! (You can read more about this project here.)
Here’s a little description of what each hexagon means (start in the middle with the bird hexagon, move to the ice cream hexagon and move clockwise):
Day 309: Spent the night listened to records with my husband.
Day 310: Sometimes Mondays call for ice cream!
Day 311: Sprayed the yard for weeds — so much sun and rain this summer has made them out of control.
Day 312: Video day! Have you checked out our Summer Sewing video series?
Day 313: Celebrated a coworkers birthday with a fun party!
Day 314: Got to watch the bowling-theme movie my husband did the score and songs to for the 48-Hour Film Fest. If you’re interested, you can watch it here — he did the singing, recording, and producing!
Day 315: Had a delicious egg breakfast to celebrate the weekend!
I’ll update my hexagon progress every week or two! And I’ll be using the hashtag #lindsayhexies29 on Instagram to share pictures.
Thanks for joining me for “happy hour,”
