A Birthday Project: Weeks 46-48

I have one month left in my hexagon project! I’d love to have the top together by my 30th birthday, so I’m hoping to start making progress appliquéing these hexagon flowers to the backgrounds. As part of celebrating a year in my life, I’m making a hexagon to describe each day! (You can read more about this project here.)

Here’s a little description of what each hexagon means (start in the middle, move to the watermelon hexagon and move clockwise):

Day 316: Went to the Iowa State Fair.

Day 317: Got my hands on the largest watermelon ever. Yum!

Day 318: Spent the night canning and drying all our peppers!

Day 319: Drove home to visit my family.

Day 320: Spent the day with my mom in her gorgeous garden!

Day 321: Had a big outdoor picnic with the family.

Day 322: Explored a few new breweries in Milwaukee with my dad and uncle.

Here’s a little description of what each hexagon means (start in the middle, move to the beaver hexagon and move clockwise):

Day 323: So inspired by the wildflowers by my parents’ house! My mom gratuitously gave me some of hers for my garden.

Day 324: Met my grandma for coffee.

Day 325: Spent the day on the road to get back home.

Day 326: Last Summer Sewing video! Did you tune in? I love the fabric we used for the projects!

Day 327: Blood test today.

Day 328: Made a fun bookmark with this fabric! Get the pattern here.

Day 329: A tree fell on our neighbor’s house during a storm.

Here’s a little description of what each hexagon means (start in the middle, move to the beaver hexagon and move clockwise):

Day 330: Picked up lots of branches and leaves after the storm.

Day 331: Got a new TV set up — we’re so excited!

Day 332: Kitty cuddle day!

Day 333: Had a fun girls’ night with a lot of unicorn references!

Day 334: Celebrated our third wedding anniversary.

Day 335: Happy Friday! Sometimes you just need to give yourself a gold star for making it through the week.

Day 336: Watched two beautiful friends tie the knot!

I’ll update my hexagon progress every week or two! And I’ll be using the hashtag #lindsayhexies29 on Instagram to share pictures.

Thanks for joining me for “happy hour,”

Lindsay
