Sew Hometown: February Blocks

Amy Ellis and Heather Valentine, the fun gals behind Inspiring Stitches, kindly sent me their 2019 Sew Hometown calendar and asked me to sew along with the yearlong project. The desktop calendar measures 6×10″ and includes a monthly calendar and instructions for twelve blocks designed to use your stash and build your skills! Buy the calendar here.

February’s block was a Birdhouse. I’m having so much fun pulling fabrics from my stash to make this quilt — it’s going to be a colorful one!

I thought it would be fun to share my backyard view month-to-month with this project. In February, we got buried in snow. It snowed large amounts almost every weekend, and was hard to keep up with. But it did make our backyard look beautiful.

It’s not too late to grab your calendar and catch up! I can’t wait to see everyone’s blocks throughout the year.

Thanks for joining me for “happy hour,”

Lindsay

  1. So when I click on your buy calendar here the next screen a pop up on the top says to use SWEETS as a promo code to buy 1get one free. I entered sweets and it says it is invalid code. I want to buy one and ask if you have the 2018 calendar still available as my free calendar?
