My husband and I have done a lot of travel the last few months! And we’ve been to the most beautiful places! So I’m interrupting my normal quilting posts to share some of the photos from our trips.
Over Labor Day weekend, we drove to the Arapahoe Basin area of Colorado for a wedding. We spent a few days enjoying our friends’ company, drinking Colorado beer, and taking in incredible views of the mountains. We even got to take a ski lift to the top of a mountain to celebrate our friends’ marriage! (A pretty big deal for someone so afraid of heights.)
After the wedding, we drove into Wyoming to explore a state we’ve never been to before. We soaked in natural hot springs, ate at real-life saloons, and saw wildlife and picturesque scenes in the country’s first National Park: Yellowstone.
Yellowstone has been on my bucket list and it exceeded all my expectations. It’s the most beautiful place I have been in my entire life and I highly recommend spending time there for anyone who hasn’t yet.
Then in the middle of October, we enjoyed another friend’s wedding in Custer State Park in South Dakota. We stayed at the cutest little cabin, took morning hikes, and sipped champagne amongst spruce trees. We even got a little snow!
I had the pleasure of being in my friend’s wedding, so the days leading up to the wedding, we had a fun bachelorette party in Deadwood. There was a limo and lots of laughs. I had the best time bonding with new and old friends!
Feeling so blessed with all the beautiful places I could see this year and all the special people I could spend time with. But after all that travel, I’m looking forward to a quiet winter full of sewing, reading, and plenty of Hallmark movies!
Thanks for joining me for “happy hour”,
